The Eight Warriors – Eight huge pine trees growing in the mountains in Taichung Guguan area use their strong root networks to guard the 150m-deep cliff. Attacked by 921 catastrophic earthquakes, and the flooding of 72 and 88, they have not collapsed and win the title of The Eight Warriors. The local Atayal people have always regarded them as their guardian gods. 

Atayal people：Where are the Eight Warriors from?

Lydia：These ancient trees – the Eight Warriors, are thousands-year-old souls. For the sake of guarding this piece of land, a whole group of them came together to Earth in the very beginning. Nowadays, due to the environment and natural reasons, only eight of them are remaining.

The Eight Warriors say their souls came from Heaven above. They were chosen to come here.

Atayal people：That’s right. We Atayal people all regard them as our guardian angels!

Lydia：They know, and they are doing this job and mission.They are emanating a vibration of love and peace to protect the local people and this land, so that they could live in a peaceful atmosphere and enjoy a comfortable life. This vibration forms a protective net naturally. It encompasses the whole mountain area.

They are kind of protective gods of this mountain area.

Atayal people：What benefit would humans derive by getting close to the trees?

The Eight Warriors：If you come close to us with a grateful heart, we will always emit good energy to you. We will detect and heal your wounds. We will fill you with joy and bliss. This is what we can do to benefit you.

Atayal people：How do the trees interact with other animals and nature?

Lydia：Lots of flora and fauna take shelter on them. The trees also have healing power; they can heal the little animals, both in body and mind. They provide a home for flora and fauna and let them feel secure. Therefore the relationship between the flora and fauna is similar to that of the sea anemone and the clown fish. This applies to all flora and fauna.

Our hearts are always connected; the great nature and all the plants are connected. We understand the needs, the thoughts, and the situation of each other. We are always aware.

Atayal people：What do the Eight Warriors want to say to Atayal people?

Lydia：The people in this area are very benign and friendly, very kind at heart and simple-minded. The aborigines spent a lot of effort to protect them. The main thing is that the Atayal people are very loving. For the sake of protecting the Eight Warriors, the Atayal people advocate the protection of flora and fauna. They refrain from cutting trees randomly; they take only what they need.

Atayal people：How do the trees evolve?

Lydia：It is the mission and obligation of the trees to guard the great earth. When their mission is completed, they will advance into another stage, which is an elevation for them.

They can purify the unclean substances in the air. They can transform the energy and the abundant blessing from Heaven into energies that ordinary people can receive, by dispersing it in the air, so that the plants and people can receive it through inhalation. This is their most important task.

They are also capable of purifying the magnetic field in the atmosphere. This is what we cannot see, the invisible part.

They link with each other to form a network, which is invisible to us. All the trees in the world are working on this.

They emit a kind of vibration inaudible to human ears, something like resonance, which can be sent to very faraway for flora and fauna in the other corner of the world to hear.

Another way is by sending signals to each other, but this is just a local area network. With the extensive network, they make use of the resonance that plants emit at night, which is a common language among all plants. With the vibration of this resonance, they eliminate many of the impurities in the air, including bad atmosphere and magnetic field.

Atayal people：Concerning deforestation by humans, what is the resulting impact on the planet?

Lydia：As the vibration field of the planet as a whole is getting worse now, we need more trees to work together to purify the negative vibration on the planet. However, the situation is just the opposite. The number of trees is decreasing, but the negative vibration is getting stronger. They are working very hard but still sometimes they just cannot completely dispose of all the negative energy, which is the cause of natural disasters. That is when the plants failed to get rid of them in time.

Atayal people：What do the Eight Warriors want to say to human?

Lydia：Please cherish us! The trees are components of the great Earth protecting the land that humans rely on for existence. We are protecting humankind and their homestead. Please cherish and love us. We are a very important part of you. We play a very important role in the world on this planet. Please do not neglect our existence.
